जानकारी के मुताबिक अल्मोड़ा जिले के तहसील के चनौदा, बूंगा निवासी सैनिक कमल सिंह भाकुनी (24) 16 कुमाऊं रेजीमेंट मणिपुर में तैनात थे। ड्यूटी के दौरान कमल को संदिग्ध हालात में गोली लग गई। इस घटना में वो शहीद हो गए। घटना की जानकारी के बाद से प्रदेश में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है। कमल सिंह भाकुनी चार साल पहले ही सेना में भर्ती हुए थे। 25 दिन पहले ही वो छुट्टी के बाद ड्यूटी पर पहुंचे थे।

According to the information, soldier Kamal Singh Bhakuni (24), resident of Chanuda, Bunga tehsil of Almora district, was posted in 16 Kumaon Regiment Manipur.
