Yesterday, on the eve of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi laid the foundation stone of Sahastradhara-Sarona, Suwakholi-Sarona and Maldevta-Serki-Silla motor roads to be constructed at a cost of about Rs 37 crore under the Mussoorie assembly constituency.

Chamoli- DM Sandeep Tiwari has given instructions to identify orphan, poor, handicapped and exploited children between 0 to 18 years of age in the district and benefit them from the Mission Vatsalya scheme. He said that such children should be identified in all village areas through the Patwari and benefited from the scheme.
